Embarking on a 7-day safari covering Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Lake Mburo National Park, with departures from Kigali, offers a rich blend of gorilla trekking, wildlife viewing, and cultural experiences

We will pick you up at Kigali Airport or downtown Kigali. Before driving to Uganda, there is a visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial and Museum. The Kigali Genocide Memorial is a significant and poignant place to visit in Kigali, Rwanda. It commemorates the lives lost during the 1994 Rwandan Genocide and serves as a place for education, reflection, and reconciliation. The scenic drive to Uganda will go through Rwanda’s northwestern town of Ruhengeri, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park, another popular spot for mountain gorilla tracking. We will then circle around the mountains to cross over into Uganda via the Cyanika border posts and stay in Kisoro near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Spend the afternoon as you wish and choose from our array of optional activities such as hiking through the luscious hills or visiting the local Batwa community.
Depart the lodge and with your packed lunch transfer to the tracking trail head for a pre-gorilla trekking briefing. You will be grouped with other 7 travelers and allocated a gorilla family. At 8:00 AM, hike into the jungle to meet the gorillas. This hike may be short or long depending on the location of the gorillas. On meeting the gorillas, spend an hour in their presence, enjoy their human-like characters, take photos, capture videos, and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Hike back to the lodge, refresh, and relax the rest of the evening
We will start the journey in the morning from Bwindi National Park and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The tour will take you through the stunning landscapes of western Uganda and get you to the park by early afternoon. We will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, popularly known for the tree-climbing lions. Unlike their counterparts at the Kasenyi Plains, the lions at Ishasha have found a way to climb the fig trees to enjoy the warm temperatures. While the sighting of the tree-climbing lions is not 100% guaranteed, a stopover at Ishasha is well worth a visit!
We start our action-packed fourth day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, we proceed to the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals. The Kasenyi plains are found in the vast savannahs of the Albertine Rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park and it will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, topi, and bushbucks. While spotting the ‘big five’ in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day, you may sight leopards to make it the ‘big four.’ We will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon after your  lunch, you will take tremendous Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The Boat acts as a platform from where schools of Hippopotamus, crocodile, Nile Monitor Lizards and Birds are viewed from. You stand chances to see Elephants and buffaloes also coming to drink water.
In the morning after early morning breakfast,  you will go for Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu forest, where you will encounter other primates along the trail. Kalinzu Forest is not only a haven for chimps but it’s also home to other species of primates, and if you’re lucky, on the Kalinzu trek you might encounter the colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys. On return, you will set off for your journey back to Lake Mburo National Park, arriving early evening for a night game drive in search of nocturnal animals including leopards and bush babies
On this day you will take a cup of coffee or tea and go for game walk in search of rare impalas, zebras, Elands, buffaloes, giraffes, and warthog and if lucky leopards and lots of birds. Game walk in Lake Mburo National Park is the only way to get closer to the animals on foot accompanied by the park ranger guide who are well experienced in spotting animals as you take wonderful pictures at closer range. On return from the walk, you will have your relaxed lunch break and afterwards and spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge.
You will have a relaxing morning and after breakfast transfer back to Kigali with a scheduled stopover for lunch break before crossing into Rwanda. You will be transferred to your Hotel in Kigali or at the Airport.
