3-Day Murchison Falls National Park and Rhinos Tracking
The ultimate highlight of a safari here will be a chance to see the powerful Murchison Falls after which this park was named found on the River Nile (the longest River in the world). these waterfalls which are the most significant milestone of the river are such as spectacle as you will see large volumes of water squeeze through a narrow gorge about 7 meters wide before dropping over a 43 meter cliff with an ear deafening sound as the roaring waters drop in a pool below to form a rising water-spray. You will also get a chance to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will get a chance to track rhinos.

The 3 Day Safari in Murchison Falls National Park takes you the most popular as well as the largest national park (covering an area of 3,840 sq km) in Uganda which was officially established as a game park in 1926. With the great River Nile flowing through its boundaries, it prides of a diversity of habitats that include wetlands, woodland, acacia savannah, grasslands and Borassus palms which support a wide profusion of wildlife including more than 451 bird species like the shoebill stork, the dwarf Kingfisher and the Great blue Turaco and 87 large mammals including the Big Five animals all easily seen.
Your safari driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel by 7:00am, brief you about the safari and then begin the long drive to the Murchison Falls National park found in north Western Uganda. There will be a scheduled stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will get a chance to track rhinos on foot. This sanctuary which is home to the rhinos one of the big Five animals was established in 2005 to restore the rhino species which had become totally extinct in the country. You will later transfer to the park where you will check into your accommodation for dinner and the overnight
With an early start, you will head out for an early morning game drive to see the various wildlife as you explore the various habitats. Some of the animals you will spot include elephants, hyenas, lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes and giraffes among many others before returning to the lodge to freshen up and have lunch. After lunch you will head out on a 2 hours launch cruise of the River Nile to the bottom of the waterfalls which you will be able to see in their full mighty. You will encounter various wildlife along the river banks such as the giant Nile crocodiles, large numbers of hippos, birds and elephants among others. There will also be an option of taking a hike to the top of the waterfalls where you will get a chance to see the waterfall from another view. The walk which takes about 45 minutes will give you a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the unique vegetation. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and the overnight.
This will be the final day of our safari. After breakfast you will enjoy a final game drive in the park to see some more animals before beginning on the drive back to Kampala where you will arrive late in the afternoon. You will be dropped either at the Entebbe international airport for your outbound flight or at a hotel of your choice.
