Morning: Arrive at Kigali International Airport. Journey to Akagera National Park (approx. 2.5–3 hours).
Afternoon: Boat trip on Lake Ihema which is a very rewarding for seeing abundant birdlife and view elephants, and school of hippos cooling off at the shores and the huge Nile crocodiles. They are the most interesting part of the park especially for birders.
Return to your lodge and enjoy a relaxing dinner.
Morning: Embark on a game drive to spot the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos and other wildlife. Continue and exit the park and drive back to Kigali arriving early evening.
